Rustic Maka

Growing up in the 80's in Poland wasn't easy for Kasia and Monica, founders of Rustic MAKA. They learned first-hand what it meant to live a simple life. Not always having access to mainstream beauty and hygiene products, their mother, Anna, taught them to make do with what they had. They used a potato starch and water solution to soak dry hands, put sour milk on sunburned skin and used active yeast to make their hair soft and silky. They learned to be resourceful and live simply.

After moving to the United States, life became much easier. Having been accustomed to using simple, natural products, it became difficult to find products with the same values. Many of them failed to perform, or were not truthful about their natural claims. This was the inspiration behind Rustic Maka and the development of their first product, Pachy deodorant. Pronounced 'Pahyi', this natural deodorant stick is an effective odor-fighting solution handcrafted with natural, organic and vegan ingredients. Each deodorant has a unique scent and is carefully formulated with rich, plant-based oils, butters and powders and without any toxic ingredients commonly found in traditional deodorants.
