Innersense Organic Beauty is a love story between two seasoned beauty professionals who crossed paths and shared a passion for hair, beauty and life. Their dream was to create something bigger than them. Larger than Joanne’s career as a stylist and platform artist; larger than Greg’s decades in “big beauty,” where his passion for product development and formulation began. LIFE’S LESSONS BEAR THE GREATEST GIFTS.

This love story is also a story of family. The brand was born and inspired by Morgan, their first born daughter, when at 22 months old she was diagnosed with a rare genetic order, “Williams Syndrome”.  As young parents, they struggled with not always knowing what to do or where to look for answers. They felt helpless, powerless and afraid. They wanted to raise their daughter in a healthy, mindful and loving environment, but during the darkest days of uncertainty, they struggled to find this. It was the simple advice of a spiritual advisor they clung to most, his words ultimately guiding them out of the darkness: “trust your inner sense.”

 

TRUST YOUR INNERSENSE: Though this circumstance is unique, it is universal in its humanness. We all struggle to find our way, but when we embrace our challenges as our greatest teachers, accept them and trust our inner wisdom, we find our way to a life filled with gifts beyond our imagination. This experience was a catalyst to create a life committed to mindfulness and purpose, and through the vehicle of beauty, they are sharing the lessons they learned with the world. Morgan’s arrival, and that of her brother, Max, two years later, were blessings in so many ways: They were the sunlight needed to thrive, and a message from the universe: It’s time to slow down and live as simply, healthy, and as pure as possible.

AN ORGANIC BEAUTY COMPANY WAS BORN: Their commitment to a cleaner, healthier lifestyle for the family paralleled an emerging trend in the beloved hair industry: toxin-free beauty. They immersed in the study of green chemistry and sought answers as to why so many of our industry professional colleagues were being diagnosed with chronic diseases at higher rates when compared with professions in other industries. A new life journey began.
