Ecocert

Established by France in 1991, Ecocert inspects and certifies the practices of organic farming. They developed a natural and organic cosmetic standard in 2003. The criteria is that at least 95% natural ingredients must be in the finished products “No GMOs,parabens, phenoxyethanol,ingredients derived from petrochemicals or synthetic chemistry, nanoparticles, silicon, PEG, synthetic perfumes and dyes, animal-derived ingredients (unless naturally produced by them: milk, honey, etc.)”* No testing of the finished product may be done on animals.
